Way Over Due

It's been so long since I've blogged I hardly know where to start.

This last weekend we embarked on a new Chapter in our life.  One that took huge leaps of faith and much prayer.

I've been told this new chapter is a crazy thing.  We left the Corporate American lifestyle and began selling off our possessions in preparation.

We moved to Liberia in West Africa.

It's a long-time coming.  We were geared towards a different part of the world when God dropped this opportunity on us.  It was amazing that every step of the way when we would doubt that this was God's plan and look at other possible open doors, God would confirm THIS path as THE path right now.

So we walked forward, striving for obedience over everything.  Lots of people have said we are nuts.  And maybe we are.  But I'd rather be nuts when I meet Jesus than disobedient.

There are times when I still can't believe this is real.  I've wondered about this day since I first heard about Liberia in 2006 sitting across the table from our Liberian friend, Tony, at our favorite pizza place, Salvatores, in Muscatine.

Our hearts wanted to move to Liberia where we fell in love with the people on our first trip in 2007.  But we opened up to "anywhere Lord" and God is ALLOWING us to share this place we love with our kiddos. God is so very cool.

Thank you, Jesus, for your provision down this journey.
